BOREL'S 33rd ANNUAL CULTURAL FAIR - We are looking for booth assistance

Get excited for the 33rd annual Borel Cultural Fair! (The Food Fair is Wednesday, March 27.) We’ve reached our goal of 30 cultures represented! We are still looking for additional families to help out with the following booths: China, Colombia, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Russia, & South Korea. Sign up to help here (Spanish)(English) or email CulturalFair@borelbobcats.org. Want to save time? Skip the line and purchase your tickets in advance on our Borel PTA Cultural Fair page. Tickets are $1 per ticket and the price for the food items at the fair ranges from 1-5 tickets.

BOREL'S 33rd ANNUAL CULTURAL FAIR - Entertainment update for Wednesday, March 27 5:00 - 7:00 pm

Our entertainment lineup is complete, and we have a great program lined up for the cultural fair in the Borel Library on Wednesday, March 27 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm

The following cultural dances will be represented: Mexico, Peru, Fiji, Tonga, Japan, India and the Philippines. In addition, the Borel Chamber Orchestra and DJ High Top will be featured as well. .

Bring your family and friends and learn about other cultural dances! Support your Borel Bobcat community by sharing the news! 

allcove San Mateo is now open! All services are free for youth 12-25!

allcove San Mateo is a youth drop-in center designed with, by and for youth ages 12-25 looking for support with mild to moderate health needs. Services offered include mental health, physical health, substance use, family support, peer support, and supported education and employment. All services are free for any and all youth ages 12-25. Youth are also welcome to use the center as a third space to hang out and/or study.  

allcove is located at 2600 S El Camino Real Suite 300, San Mateo, CA 94403 in a beautiful youth-designed space! Hours of operation are Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri from 1pm - 7pm and Sat from 10am - 2pm (closed Wednesdays and Sundays).

Join us on Saturday, April 13th at 6:00 pm at Beresford Recreation Center for an evening of food, drinks, games, and dancing. Digital Addiction: A family guide on prevention, signs and treatment. High levels of digital media use by children and adolescents are of concern to parents and caregivers for good reason:  a third of teens report 1 “almost constant” daily use of social media platforms alone, and nearly half of adolescents ages 11-12 who own mobile phones report losing track of how much they are using these devices. Principal Pizza Chat & PTA Association Meeting - March 19 at 6:30 pm - Join us to elect our next PTA Board

Join us for our next in-person Principal Pizza chat on March 19 at 6:30 pm followed by the PTA Association Meeting at 7:00 pm in the Borel Library. Important agenda items will be covered during this PTA meeting, such as electing our 2024-2025 PTA Board. Please view the below list of nominees whom the nominating committee has selected. We are particularly looking for the ELAC Liaison, Historian and Extra Curricular Liaison. The meeting agenda will be posted here. Reflections Awards Presentation during the PTA Association Meeting on Tuesday, March 19th at 7pm in the Borel Library.

Borel Bobcats had an amazing showing in the PTA Reflections Program from this year. We had 32 entries across five categories: Literature, Film Production, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts! Here is the link to the awards announcement video. Huge congratulations to all who submitted entries - You make Borel so proud!

Students and families are invited to attend the Reflections Awards Presentation during the PTA Association Meeting on Tuesday, March 19th at 7pm in the Borel Library. During that time we'll also have a table-top exhibit displaying all of the wonderful art submissions from the 2023-24 Reflections Art Program.

Borel Teachers need 4,000 snacks per month to help students thrive and ensure kids have a little something during the scheduled brunch time. Please just bring them by school office any time this week and let the desk know they’re for Ms Wolf.

SANDWICHES FOR HOMEWORK TIME

Homework Central LOVES having 40 sandwiches for their meetings on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school! If you shop at Costco the deli packs, cheese packs, and bread are really reasonable!  Again, please follow this link to sign up as the need is great right now!
